The damaging wind/tornado threat this afternoon is very low, but cannot be completely ruled out.

A low pressure system will move up from the Gulf, tracking directly across eastern Carolina, bringing clouds to the latter half of the weekend.

The system is expected to bring between one to two inches of rain across the region, with heavier amounts possible in localized areas. There is a slight chance of severe weather with this system, with the main threats being damaging winds and localized flooding. Temperatures Sunday will be warm, hitting the mid 60s a little after noon.

The system will exit the area Sunday evening.

Be sure to follow the WITN meteorologists for updated information.
