Chilly Breeze Wednesday; Big Weekend Warmup

By  |

A cold front moved off the North Carolina coast early Wednesday followed by dry and colder conditions. Afternoon highs will top out in the upper 40s to lower 50s under sunny skies. Temperatures will drop to near 30° early Thursday then a major warm-up will begin.

We'll reach near 60° Thursday and well into the 60s on Friday under continued sunny skies. The weekend will be unseasonably warm with highs in the lower to middle 70s. Clouds will increase on Sunday but dry conditions should hold through the weekend.

A cold front will approach the area by Sunday night giving our area a good chance for rain on Monday. Cooler, drier conditions will move in on Christmas Eve into Christmas Day.
