Students Learn The Dangers Of Distracted Driving

One local high school is reminding students how important is it to stay focused behind the wheel, just in time for prom and graduation season.

Swansboro High School is hosting its SAVE program Wednesday, which stands for Students Against Violence Everywhere.

From 2:30 p.m.to 6 p.m. Wednesday, students will get the chance to experience drunk driving and texting while driving through the use of simulators.

The SAVE program is part of the Arrive Alive program intended to raise awareness about the dangers of distracted driving.
