A moist and unstable air mass will continue to bring showers to eastern Carolina on Wednesday. The showers will be more widely scattered and we should see a bit more sunshine. Afternoon highs will hit the middle to upper 80s.
Drier conditions will move into the area on Independence Day with only a stray shower or storm expected. More sunshine will be coming our way as we head through the week. Afternoon highs will approach 90 degrees on Independence Day then into the lower 90s by the weekend. The latter portion of the week will feature lots of sunshine with heat indices approaching 100 degrees. Only a stray storm or two is expected for the weekend.
