A statue of Jesus was vandalized at a church and it didn't take long for two Wayne County men to be charged in the case.
Wayne County deputies have charged Joseph Siler, 22, and Steve Futch, 16, with injury to personal property.
The statue at the Selah Christian Church off Highway 13 South was pushed over and broken on Tuesday. The statue was valued at $500.
Deputies say thanks to numerous calls from the community they were able to identify the two men involved and make and arrest. Futch lives on the same road as the church, while Siler lives about a mile and a half away.
Bonds for the two were set at $500 secured.
