Spaghetti Dinner, Concert Benefits June Greenville Shooting Spree Victim

The generosity of a community was on display in eastern Carolina Saturday, all to benefit a man shot earlier this summer.

Organizers with St. Paul’s Pentecostal Holiness Church hosted the spaghetti dinner and benefit concert Saturday.

All proceeds will go to help with Tim Edwards medical bills. Edwards was shot in the parking lot of the Kellum Law Firm in Greenville back on June 21st. Police say the alleged gunman, Lakim Faust, would go on to shoot 3 more people in the parking lot of the Walmart.

“There's going to be a day where we may look back and not necessarily think about it, but I don't think there will ever be a day where they don't think about it, and think about it every day,” said benefit organizer Darrin Briley about Edwards and his family, “So, I hope that maybe this will spark some other organizations to reach out and help and bring the community together.”

Saturday’s concert featured several performances.
