We have new details on a man deputies are searching for after they say he ran from traffic stop.
The Pitt County Sheriff's Office says the have warrants to arrest 32-year-old Terrell Barnes of Greenville. Pitt County deputies and K-9's searched for Barnes Sunday night after authorities say he ran from a traffic stop at Stantonsburg Road and Westpointe Drive in Pitt County.
Deputies said they pulled Barnes over for reckless driving. However, Barnes got out of his car, while it was still in drive, and ran. He's now also wanted for hit and run, deputies say, because his car was still in drive it hit another vehicle. Additionally, lawmen plan to charge Barnes with felony flee to elude arrest and resist/obstruct/delay an officer.

Pitt County Sheriff's spokeswoman Christy Wallace says that Sheriff's deputies are using K-9 units to search for a man that ran from a traffic stop.
That vehicle stop happened near the intersection of Stantonsburg Road and Westpointe Drive after 10:30 p.m. according to Wallace. We're told the man was pulled over for driving recklessly, and took off in the direction of Holly Glenn apartments off of Allen Road.
It is not known if this man is armed or not.
