Sex Offender, Other Man Caught In Insurance Agency Holdup

Two men wanted for last week's armed robbery of an insurance agency are now behind bars.

Plymouth police says Joseph McNair and Rashawn Owens, both of Plymouth, were nabbed Monday.

The two are charged with last Monday's armed robbery of Pamlico Insurance on Washington Street.

Owens is a registered sex offender

Police say an employee was forced from one part of the business to another during the robbery and they received minor injuries. The robbers got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.

McNair was jailed on a $765,000 bond, while Owens' bond was set at $800,000.

A registered sex offender and another man are wanted for an armed robbery and kidnapping at an insurance agency on Monday.

Plymouth police say the robbery happened at Pamlico Insurance on Washington Street around 4:00 p.m.

Wanted are Rashawn Owens, who is a registered sex offender, and Willie McNair, both of Plymouth.

Police say an employee was forced from one part of the business to another during the robbery and they received minor injuries. The robbers got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Authorities say both Owens and McNair should be considered armed and dangerous.
