SILVER ALERT CANCELED: Missing Duplin County Man Found In Virginia

The Department of Public Safety sent an alert at 8:31 p.m Thursday saying a Silver Alert for Percy Hobbs was canceled at the request of the Duplin County Sheriff's Office.

Duplin County Sheriff's Office dispatchers say 84-year-old Percy Hobbs was found uninjured in Virginia.

Cpl. Toler with the Sheriff's Office says more information will available Friday morning.
Authorities say a missing elderly man from Duplin County may be in the Greenville area.

A statewide Silver Alert for 84-year-old Percy Hobbs was issued Thursday morning.

Deputies said Hobbs is a black man who stands 6-feet-tall and weighs nearly 160 pounds.

Hobbs was seen at a bar in Bel Arthur Road in Pitt County Wednesday night around 9:30 p.m. Investigators say he was asking for directions on how to get home. He was wearing a blue or black jacket and a ball cap.

He may be driving in a 1987, white Crown Victoria with NC tags VXD4941.
