NEW INFO: Charges Released For Pair Deputies Say Led Them On Pamlico County High-Speed Chase

Charges have been released by the Pamlico County Sheriff's Office after a vehicle chase involving two people.

Officials tell WITN that 21-year-old Erica Lloyd was behind the wheel of the vehicle that was chased Saturday night in the Kennel Beach area.

Deputies say that Lloyd has been charged with fleeing arrest with a motor vehicle, possession with intent to manufacture sell or deliver schedule iv controlled substance, littering under 15 pounds, reckless driving to endanger, driving left of center, injury to personal property, 3 counts of resisting a public officer, larceny, 3 counts simple possession of a schedule II controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, carrying a concealed weapon. Officials say she also had a warrant out for contempt of court probation violation.

Officials say her passenger, 21-year-old Ralph Kinnion Jr., has been charged with resisting a public officer and possession of drug paraphernalia. Kinnion is also said by deputies to have outstanding warrants for injury to personal property and simple assault.

Lloyd is being held on a $12,000 secured bond. Kinnion is being held on a $6,000 secured bond.

Captain James Mitchell of the Pamlico County Sheriff's Office says that Erica Lloyd and Ralph Kinnion Jr. were arrested after a chase that ended around 9 pm Saturday at Bluffs Subdivision in the Kennel Beach area.

He tells us that the suspects were driving over 100 miles per hour trying to elude the chasing deputies.

Both suspects attempted to flee on foot as deputies approached them at the conclusion of the chase. Deputies were able to catch each of them and no one was hurt.

He also says that drugs were found in their possession.
