NEW INFO: Greenville Police Arrest Two For Armed Robbery

Two people are under arrest for an armed robbery in Greenville.

Sgt. Joe Friday says Deandre Alston and Crystal Giles were arrested Wednesday in reference to an armed robbery that happened Tuesday on Keys Court in Greenville.

Alston is a 21 year old from Sims in Wilson County, while the 21-year-old Giles is from Rocky Mount.

Sgt. Friday says both had outstanding warrants for armed robbery. Alston had an additional charge pending for assault with a deadly weapon. He was booked under a $125,000 bond, while Giles's bond was set at $100,000.

A Greenville police report says three people held up and assaulted a man at his home around 3 a.m. Tuesday. Reports indicate the victim knew two of the robbers and was in a relationship with one of them. The victim suffered minor injuries.

Several items were stolen, including a gun, two TVs, a cell phone, jewelry and cash.

21 year old Crystal Giles is from Rocky Mount but Greenville Police arrested her Wednesday night, according to the Pitt County Jail. Giles faces one count of robbery with a dangerous weapon, and her bond is set at $100,000.
