Reward Offered In Rash Of Home Invasions Targeting Asian Business Owners

A reward is now being offered in a rash of violent home invasions that have targeted owners of Asian restaurants in Eastern Carolina.

The State Bureau of Investigation says since December, there have been approximately 20 home invasion robberies in Beaufort, Craven Edgecombe, Halifax, Johnston, Lenoir, Onslow, Pitt and Wayne Counties.

The victims have included men, women and children. The SBI says the victims have been restrained, physically assaulted, and robbed as they were coming home from work.

ATF, Craven County Crime Stoppers, Edgecombe/ Nash County Crime Stoppers, and Pitt County Crime Stoppers have combined with the Clayton Police Department and the Tarboro Police Department to offer an $8000.00 reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of those responsible.
