Registered Sex Offender Arrested Near Wilson Elementary School

A suspicious man standing across the street from an elementary school turned out to be a registered sex offender.

Police arrested 23-Year-old Matthew Randall of Wilson. The Wilson Times says officers chased Randall down after Winstead Elementary principal Tracy Joyner called police about a suspicious person across the street Thursday morning.

Records show Randall was arrested in 2004 for second degree sex offense.
