A registered sex offender is back behind bars in Pitt County.
The alleged crime this time for 32-year-old Lewis Spencer of Grimesland is failing to report his new address to authorities, which is required of sex offenders.
The Pitt County Sheriff's Office arrested Spencer, and he's behind bars under a $25,000.
The North Carolina Sex Offender Registry shows Spencer was convicted of indecent liberties with a minor in Beaufort County in 2004 and attempted indecent liberties with a minor in Pitt County in 2005.
