Police in Baltimore say they have a suspect in the murder of NBA player Reggie Bullock's transgender sister.
Mia Henderson was killed in July 2014 in northwest Baltimore.
Now police say Shawn Oliver, who is already in jail on an unrelated charge, will be charged with Henderson's murder.
Bullock, who is from Kinston, tweeted Thursday afternoon, "Just wanted to take the time to thank @BaltimorePolice for aggressively pursuing the murderer of my brother. My family and I are now able to rest our hearts knowing that this person is OFF THE STREETS. #BaltimorePD #RIPKEVIN"
Henderson was born Kevin Long and lived in Kinston before moving to Baltimore shortly before she was murdered.
Bullock's mother, Daniell Brown along with her children and sister spoke to us in Kinston about the arrest.
Brown found out Thursday that Oliver, who was in jail on previous charges, had been charged in her child's murder case.
She said, "It was a blessing to me. So I don't have to stress. I can relax now."
Henderson's aunt Kimberly Hill said, "I feel this should of never have happened. I mean if they had a misunderstanding or something, but you didn't have to kill him, he didn't have to kill him."
Brown tells us when the time comes, they all plan to face the man charged with killing Henderson in court.
Police say Henderson fought her attacker and police say because of that they recovered DNA evidence under her fingertips that matched Oliver.
Bullock now plays for the Detroit Pistons.
The funeral for the sibling of one of Kinston's most famous residents is set for Thursday.
Kevin Long, who went by the name Mia Henderson, was found slain in an alley on the northwest side of Baltimore on July 16.
Long is the sibling of Reggie Bullock of the L.A. Clippers and formally the UNC basketball team.
The service starts 2 p.m. Thursday at the United FWB Tabernacle in Kinston.

Reggie Bullock of the Los Angeles Clippers confirms to WJZ-TV that Mia Henderson, who was born Kevin Long, was his brother. Bullock also sent a tweet on Wednesday paying tribute to Henderson, with the hashtag "RIPKEVIN."
Baltimore police say the 26-year-old Henderson was found dead early Wednesday morning in an alley in northwest Baltimore. Police have not identified any suspects or established a motive, and they don't know yet whether there's any connection to the slaying of another transgender woman last month.
Bullock is heading into his second season with the Clippers. He was a first-round draft pick last year out of the University of North Carolina.
