There are a couple of new recalls parents and caregivers should know about, including drops-side cribs and strollers.
The recall involves 73,00 and 14 models of the PT Domusindo Perdana wooden drop-side cribs sold through the JC Penney catalog and on jcpenney.com. The drop sides can malfunction, detach, or fail, causing the drop side to fall out of position. An infant or toddler could fall out of the crib or become wedged or entrapped.
The CPSC is aware of three incidents; no injuries were reported. Consumers should stop using the cribs and contact Modus Furniture International, (800) 827-2129, for a free kit to correct the problem.
And more than 16 reports of handles breaking has prompted Bugaboo Americas to recall one of their strollers.
Bugaboo is recalling over 9,000 of their Cameleon 3 stroller, sold nationwide from September 2012 through March 2013. The handle can break or detach, posing a fall hazard for infants and toddlers.
No injuries have been reported. For a free replacement handle, contact Bugaboo at 800-460-2922.
