From Cool & Wet to Cold & Windy

By  |

Low pressure developing to our west will spread thickening clouds and rain into eastern Carolina on Thursday. The heaviest rain will fall along and near the coast as the low pressure continues to develop offshore. Highs will be in the lower to middle 50s in most locations.

The rain will end Thursday night followed by drier and much colder air by early Friday. Friday afternoon temperatures will only reach the middle 30s with gusty winds. Wind chills will run in the 20s throughout the day Friday.

Temps will climb to the mid 40s Saturday under mostly sunny skies. Sunday will bring an increase in clouds with a late day shower possible. Highs should reach around 60° Sunday afternoon.
