Dupiln, Greene, Lenoir, Martin and Pitt counties will be under a freezing rain advisory from 4am to 1pm on Monday. Beaufort, Craven, Jones and Washington counties will be under the advisory from 4am to 10am.
Quite warm and humid conditions will continue across eastern Carolina on Wednesday. Afternoon highs will reach the middle to upper 80s inland and near 80° along the beaches. Skies will be partly sunny and there is a slight risk of mainly afternoon thunderstorms.
A cold front will approach the area late Thursday causing a slight increase in shower activity. Drier air will arrive on Friday as the cold front pushes offshore. Saturday and Sunday should feature plentiful sunshine with afternoon highs in the upper 70s. Overnight lows will cool to the upper 40s and low 50s.
