Power Being Restored To Greenville Neighborhoods

Power has been restored to all but a handful of homes in Greenville after storms rumbled through the area Tuesday afternoon.

Greenville Utilities says some of the outages were caused by trees falling on power lines.

At the height of the outage some 2000 customers were in the dark along Stantonsburg Road, Candlewick Estates, Kings Lane, Anderson Drive and other side streets.

An area along Forelines Road was also hit.

GUC expects all power to be back on by 5:30 p.m.
