Sunny skies over the southern portion of Eastern Carolina will bump temperatures up in the afternoon, leading to possible thunderstorms later in the day. The clouds over the northern communities should keep air temperatures low north of HWY 264, which would limit the amount of pop up thunderstorms for the area, however if the storms in the south catch a southerly breeze, they could very well move over 264 in the late afternoon to evening.
Conditions Wednesday and Thursday will be warmer with a very slight chance of a shower or two. Our chance of rain will increase on Friday to 30%.
