NEW INFO: Missing Maysville Woman May Be In Beaufort County

Authorities say a missing Jones County woman may be in Beaufort County.

Bethany Rhoades was last seen on Highway 17 in Maysville Monday night.

Police now say the search for the woman may include Washington. They say a man contacted the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office and said he spotted a woman matching her description at 3rd and Bridge streets in Washington Thursday afternoon.

The man said not until he saw her picture on WITN News this morning did he realize the woman was missing.

Maysville police said they are now sending fliers to both Beaufort County deputies and Washington police to distribute in the area.

Police are looking for a missing woman who has been missing since before the snow started falling.

Bethany Rhoades of Maysville was last seen Monday around 5:00 p.m. walking on Highway 17 near the White Oak River Campground.

Rhoades is a Hispanic woman in her late 40s, with dark brown eyes and dark hair. She was wearing a dark blue hooded sweatshirt with a baseball cap, blue jeans and black boots.

Police say the woman was intoxicated, though it is very unusual for her not to be at home or in contact with her home.
