Police said a driver likely rear-ended a pick-up truck Tuesday morning after drinking and driving, though he was underage.
The wreck was just before 1 a.m. at the intersection of Greenville Boulevard and 10th Street.
Greenville Police said Cody Sessoms of Stedman, North Carolina was behind the wheel after drinking and hit a pick-up truck driven by Acho Dayton Jr. of Greenville.
According to online East Carolina University records, Sessoms is a student at the university.
Police said Dayton was transported to Vidant Medical Center with minor injuries.
Sessoms was cited for failure to reduce speed and driving after consuming alcohol under the age of 21, which police told WITN was a citation slightly less severe that a driving while impaired charge.
