Kinston Police say that a man walked into a hospital emergency room after he said he had been robbed and shot.
Commander Rodney Russell says that they received a call around 1:25 Saturday morning to the 400 block of East Washington Avenue for a report of shots fired. When they arrived no one was there.
Later in the morning, police say 19-year-old Seth Garner walked into Lenoir Memorial Hospital with a gunshot wound to the neck.
Police say Garner was walking with 19-year-old Frederick Whitfield when two gunmen robbed them. It happened less than a block from a fatal shooting Friday afternoon.
Garner was transported to Vidant Medical Center with what appeared to be a non-life threatening injury.
The two robbers are described as black men, one 5'7" tall with dreadlocks while the other was approximately 6'6" tall and a slim build.
Police have not said whether the two shootings are related.
