Police Investigating Two Separate Assaults On And Near ECU Campus

Greenville and ECU Police are investigating two separate assaults both on and off campus.

ECU Police say that around 2:39 Saturday morning, a man was assaulted by four white males on Trustee’s Way, just north of Garrett Hall on ECU’s campus. The victim is said to have received a cut on his face. He was treated by EMS at the scene and did not have to be transported. Police say one of the suspects had what appeared to be two large knives and threatened to cut a female who was nearby.
The suspects are said to have driven off in a Range Rover headed north on Jarvis Street.

Prior to that around 12:45 a.m., Greenville Police are investigating an assault on a female near 4th and Student Street. Police say the victim described the attacker as a black male who ran off on foot in an unknown direction. The victim reported no physical injuries.
