Pitt Sheriff's Office Honored For Toys For Tots Work

The Pitt County Sheriff's Office and one of its sergeants was honored Wednesday for their participation in the Toys for Tots program.

The Pitt County Sheriffs Office received the highest possible award from the national Toys for Tots Foundation.

Last year Pitt County was number one in the nation per capita in delivery of toys to needy children across the county.

Sergeant Doug Peterson also received the Commanders Award for putting together a team last year to distribute toys to 10,000 needy children.
