Pitt Schools Earn National Award For Athlete Safety

The Pitt County School District is the only one in the state that earned a national award on student athlete safety.

Pitt County Schools received the National Athletic Trainers Association Safe Sports Award.

The district credits its partnership with East Carolina University, and local health care agencies, for the honor.

All six high schools are recognized for keeping student athletes safe during P.E. class, team practices and games.
