Pitt-Greenville Airport Expects No Christmas Travel Delays

With Christmas Eve and Christmas coming up on Monday and Tuesday, for many people in the east their time off for the holidays has begun. Airport manager Jerry Vickers says he doesn't expect any issues for people arriving on flights in Greenville.

Friday at the Pitt-Greenville Airport some travelers were already getting an early start. While they were just heading to Charlotte for their connecting flights, anyone heading north could face some problems. One traveler we spoke with was heading to Dayton, Ohio, and told us it was already snowing at 1:00 a.m. Friday. He says even after he lands, he'll still have a tough road ahead.

"My toughest part of the whole travel plan may be getting from the Dayton airport to new Knoxville Ohio," said Bryon Eshelman who was traveling to Ohio Friday.
