Pitt County Communications confirms there was a robbery in the east side of Greenville.
Communications says that call was transferred to Greenville Police for investigation of a robbery around East 10th Street and Riverbluff Road. We're told 911 would then dispatch EMS around 8:55 p.m. to the scene for a report of a man assaulted.
The official WITN spoke to says the assault was in relation to the robbery. They say the victim would not have to be transported.
