A local school bus technician has been named the best in the business for the second year in a row.

Pitt County Schools employee Dustin Wells was named North Carolina's top school bus safety inspector for 2015 by the North Carolina Pupil Transportation Association.

Forty top technicians from across North Carolina competed for the title in a range of activities, including a round where three school buses were rigged with problems and competitors were given 10 minutes to identify the safety issues.

Wells took home $500.00 and will represent North Carolina in the national competition this November.
