Pitt County Detectives Trying To Find Owners Of Stolen Goods

By  |

Pitt County detectives say they busted a man after he tried to pawn off some items he stole, and they're still looking for the owners of some of the stolen goods.

The Pitt County Sheriff's Office says 28-year-old James Harris of Farmville broke into several places near Farmville along Wesley Church Road and Banna Lane, and stole nearly three dozen items worth about $4,500 to pawn including chainsaws, pressure washers, weed eaters, lawn mowers, power tools, a flat screen TV, a Nintendo gaming system, and gold jewelry. The sheriff's office says it expects more charges will be filed.

Detectives are still trying to find the owners of a stolen pressure washer, push mower, and a portable air compressor. Contact Detective J.B. Monette at (252) 902-2825 if you might be the owner. Harris is under a $125,000 secured bond at the Pitt County Detention Center.
