NEW INFO: Teen Shot At Greenville Apartment Complex Recovering

The teenager shot at North Campus Crossing on Sunday is alive and recovering, according to Greenville Police Chief Hassan Aden.

According to a police report, Trayvon Harris was shot at the apartment complex. The 19-year-old former Pitt Community College student is at Vidant Medical Center in fair condition.

Police say a fight led to the shooting at the apartment complex popular with ECU off Highway 264 East. The shooting was reported around 1 a.m. Sunday.

No arrests have been announced in the case.

Greenville Police confirm that one person was shot overnight in the parking lot of an apartment complex.

Officials say they responded to a shots fired call in the visitors parking lot of the North Campus Crossing apartment complex at 3710 Bostic Drive.

There they discovered that a person had been shot during the course of a fight.

The victim was taken to Vidant Medical Center. Their condition is unknown.

The case is under investigation. There's no suspect information at this time.

Pitt County 911 says that it dispatched EMS to a reported shooting overnight and had to transport at least one person to the hospital.

An operator at the 911 center says that they got the call of a shooting in the area of the WilcoHess Station off Highway 264 East around 12:59 a.m. That's near the North Campus Crossing apartments.

We're told that at least one person was transported from the scene. No word yet on the severity of those injuries.
