Tuesday's the day cars will start getting towed from one Greenville neighborhood if they don't have the right permit.
Non-residents parking in the University area between East 5th Street and the Tar River, and Elm Street and Reade Circle, started receiving $20 tickets on October first. But starting Tuesday, violators will be towed.
A new ordinance requires residents to get a $5 permit to park there for the entire year, between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. Only residents are eligible for the permits and they have to bring their lease with them to prove their residency when they apply.
