NEW INFO: Pa. Man Moving To New Bern Killed In Morning Crash

Troopers say a Pennsylvania man, who was in the process of moving to New Bern, was killed in a traffic accident Monday morning.

The victim has been identified as 38-year-old Craig Jessman of Greensburg, Pennsylvania.

Troopers say speed was a factor in the Highway 17 crash around 3:40 a.m.

The Highway Patrol said 43-year-old Melissa Dinsmore of New Bern was driving south near River Bend when her vehicle ran off the shoulder to the left and lost control.

The car kept going, and investigators said Dinsmore over-steered. Her vehicle slid sideways, got back to the median sideways and flipped several times. Troopers said the vehicle landed on it's roof in the southbound lanes of Highway 17.

Jessman was thrown from the vehicle and died at the scene of the crash.

Dinsmore was flown to Vidant Medical Center after the wreck.

Investigators said charges are pending.
