UPDATE: Missing Elderly Man Found Alive In Pamlico County

A missing elderly man from Pamlico County was found Tuesday morning in the woods next to his home, according to the sheriff's office.

Leo Webb, who is 85 years old, was reported missing Monday after a man who checks on him found his home empty, but his vehicle was still parked at the house.

Officials say EMS treated Webb on scene, but it's not clear whether he needed to be taken to the hospital. Authorities are still investigating how long he was in the woods and why he was there.

Webb did not have any known medical conditions or disabilities.

Leo Webb is described as a black man 5' 10" with brown eyes and gray hair, and was reported missing from his residence on Bennet Neck Road in Grantsboro. He hasn't been seen since Saturday, but doesn't have any known medical condition or disabilities.

A man who checks on him says he found Webb's home empty and his vehicle still at the house.
