A woman in our state is charged with kidnapping and rape after investigators say say she set up one of her friends to be sexually assaulted while caring for the victim's two children in a nearby room last June.
WCNC reports 47-year-old Jeannette Vazquez of Gaston County was arrested Wednesday. She is charged with first-degree kidnapping and first-degree rape. Police said Vazquez invited 33-year-old Carlos Romero to her home on June 20th, 2012 and set up the rape of the second woman. The woman was allegedly tricked to go into a room to look at pictures where Romero was waiting.
Police said Vazquez watched over the victim's two children, ages four and one-and-a-half, during the crime.
