Greenville police say their newly created Tactical Anti-Crime unit paid off when shots were fired near an apartment complex Tuesday night.
The shooting happened near Summer Place Apartments around 7:30 p.m.
The TAC unit was already patrolling in the area and they immediately stopped a suspect vehicle with multiple people taken into custody.
Alexis Pollard was charged with assault with a deadly weapon, carrying a concealed weapon, and discharging a firearm within city limits.
Police say they found a gun and ammunition inside the vehicle, while several known gang members where in the area when the shots were fired.
Officers say the 19-year-old fired the weapon at another person after a dispute with them.
Pollard was released from jail after posting a $3,000 bond.
