POLICE: Man Shot In The Woods, Suspect Arrested

Police said a Tuesday afternoon shooting in the woods led them to a suspect holed up in a local motel.

Goldsboro Police said around 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, they got a call of a person shot in the wood line behind 1005 N. Spence Avenue.

Police said there they found Ronnie Jones with a gunshot wound to the head.

Police said they worked to find their suspect, 44-year-old Othel Rowe, at the Irish Inns Motel on Sunburst Drive.

Police have charged Rowe with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury.

Rowe is in the Wayne County Jail under a $40,000 secured bond.
