POLICE: Known Drug Offender Back To Jail

Local police say a known criminal is back in jail after an officer pat down nearly turned into a fight.

Greenville police said on Thursday night, they arrested 20-year-old Rontrell Hooks near the KP Mini Mart.

Police said while searching Hooks, he started resisting and fighting with officers.

Once he was securely in custody, police said they found 31 bundles of heroin and 3.25 grams of cocaine all packaged for sale.

Hooks has been charged with possession and intent to sell or deliver plus doing that within a thousand feet of a school. Greenville police said they were near South Greenville School.

Hooks' bond was set at $100,000.
