POLICE: Goldsboro Man Found Shot, Killed


Goldsboro Police said they are now looking for a murder suspect after they found a 42-year-old man shot and left to die along the side of the road.

Investigators said they got a call around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday of shots fired in the 100-block of Ervin Drive.

Police said they got there to find a man lying in a ditch with a gunshot wound.

While Wayne County EMS tried to save him, police said the man soon died from the gunshot.

Police said the victim was 42-year-old Doral Best, of Ervin Drive in Goldsboro.

Investigators are now working to collect evidence and talk to witnesses.
