Greenville police said they found a half million dollars worth of cocaine hidden in a car battery.
Police said on Friday, Greenville police worked with the DEA and State Bureau of Investigation to arrest Fernando Garza III and Renato Torres.
In the process, officers said they seized 5-kilograms of cocaine, the drug valued at nearly $500,000 on the street.
Officials said Garza was arrested near the intersection of Crosswinds Drive and South Memorial Drive while Torres was apprehended in Chesapeake, Virginia.
Garza is now facing a handful of drug trafficking and conspiracy charges. He is in jail under a $2,000,000.00 secured bond.
Police said Torres will be extradited to Pitt County to face charges.
