NEW INFO: Man Turns Himself In For Goldsboro Murder

Police said a man wanted for murder walked into the Magistrate's Office to surrender himself to police.

Goldsboro police said they had a warrant with Lester Clinton Jr.'s name on it, charging him in the October 15th murder of Alton Fields Jr.

Police said on Sunday night, Clinton turned himself in to police and was put in the Wayne County Jail and not granted bond.

Clinton's first appearance is set for Monday morning.

On November 14th, police said they also arrested James Raye in connection to Fields' murder. Raye's first appearance is also set for Monday.


Police are asking for help tracking down a man now wanted in connection to an October murder.

Police in Goldsboro said they have connected 29-year-old Lester Clinton Jr. with the murder of Alton Fields Jr. and charged him in that case.

Investigators said Fields was shot and killed October 15th at 1000-B Deveraux Street in Goldsboro.

James Raye has already been charged in that murder case.

Police said they have now taken out warrants and are actively looking for Clinton.
