A man who police say held a gun to the head of an eight year old during a home invasion is now behind bars.
Wayne County deputies this morning arrested Shawnquel Futrelle at the Econolodge Inn in Goldsboro.
Mount Olive police were looking for Futrelle for Tuesday's home invasion on East Franklin Street. The child was not hurt, while police say the Goldsboro man made off with a woman's purse containing cash and gift cards.
Police believe Futrelle is also the man who entered a home on South Johnson Street, just around the corner from the other home, and demanded money and narcotics. A semi-automatic handgun was also fired in that case.
Futrelle was charged by Mount Olive with first degree burglary, robbery with a dangerous weapon and assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill. He was also charged by Goldsboro police for assault on a female and assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury.
He's in the Wayne County jail on a $500,000 bond.

Sgt. C.J. Weaver says they believe the 25-year-old Futrelle committed both robberies, but at this time only have enough to charge him with the one case.
