Overnight Murder In Wilmington

Police said one person is dead and another injured after a shooting early Thursday morning.

At 1:38 a.m., a homicide was reported to police.

Investigators arrived at South 6th and Kidder Streets to find the body of a young man, who died of an apparent gunshot wound.

Police said a second man who was shot in the leg was taken to New Hanover Regional Medical Center for treatment. That man is being questioned in the case.
