According to the Onslow County Sheriff's Office, a woman was shot during a domestic dispute Sunday in Jacksonville.
Deputies say they responded to the call at 1:40 a.m. Sunday at 505 Sage Court.
There is a warrant out for the arrest of 31-year-old Danielle Morrisey of Jacksonville in connection with the shooting. Authorities say he would be charged with assault with a deadly weapon.
Authorities believe this is an isolated incident. The investigation is ongoing.
The victim was treated and released from the hospital.
According to records found through the North Carolina Department of Corrections, Morrisey has a criminal rap sheet with convictions that date back to the year 2000. Convictions and charges include robbery with a dangerous weapon, second degree kidnapping, and assault on a female.
