Man Wanted In Havelock Apartment Shooting

Police say they're looking for a man who they say shot another man Friday afternoon in Havelock.

Javon Ward is considered armed and dangerous according to police.

Police say Stevn Todd of Havelock was shot multiple times and was transferred to Vidant Medical Center.

The shooting happened in a parking lot at Kelley Park Apartments Friday afternoon.

Ward is 22 years old, and has several tattoos including the word "savage" above his right eye, the letters "MOB" near his right eye and a tear drop near his left eye.

Police say the man has a history of eluding police as well as assault and weapon charges. He may still have with him a 9 mm gun that was used in the shooting.

Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest of Ward. Their phone number is 252-633-5141.

The search is on for a gunman after one person was shot outside an apartment complex in Havelock.

Havelock officials tell us it happened around 12:25 p.m. Friday in the parking lot at Kelley Park Apartments.

They say a man was taken to the hospital with gunshot wounds.

They're looking for a car described as a box style burgundy or purple SUV.

Authorities did not have a condition update on the victim and ask anyone who may have information about the shooting to call police.
