Office Manager Accused Of Stealing $83,000 From Greenville Company

An office manager is accused of stealing more than $83,000 from his Greenville company.

Daniel Kavanaugh of Winterville is charged with four counts of embezzlement that police say happened between March of 2011 and last November. He was office manager at Provia, LLC, an Eastgate Drive pathology lab, according to a police news release.

Police say an audit on April 8th showed that Kavanaugh rung up $71,825.05 on company credit cards for himself, obtained cash by writing checks to himself and others totaling $8,735.23 and stole computers valued at $800.

Kavanaugh was arrested today and jailed on a $150,000 secured bond.
