Troopers say a man will be charged with reckless driving after an accident shut down a Craven County road this morning.
The crash happened around 8:10 a.m. on Brice's Creek Road.
Troopers say a pickup truck, driven by Leslie Kornegay of New Bern, was southbound when it ran off the road, struck a tree and overturned.
The 66-year-old driver and his passenger, Carlos Hernandez, were taken to CarolinaEast Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
The road was closed because of the accident, but has since reopened.
Dispatchers in Craven County said a vehicle wreck near Brice's Creek Road will likely be causing a traffic back up in the area.
Officials confirmed a vehicle hit a tree and rolled over on Brice's Creek Road.
We know the Highway Patrol has been called to the scene, but no word on any injuries at this point.
