New Superintendent For Bertie County Schools

One local school system has hired a new superintendent. The Bertie County School Board hired Elaine White to lead the school system.

White had been serving as interim superintendent until her promotion on Friday.

In a statement posted on the school system's website, the Bertie County School Board said White has done an "excellent job of bringing both the community and staff together and taking steps to move the school system forward."
