New Judge Sworn In For Pitt County

Family, friends and colleagues attended Tuesday's oath of office ceremony for District Court Judge Lee Teague.

The ceremony took place at the Pitt County Courthouse.

Teague was appointed by Governor Pat McCrory to fill the remainder of Judge Joe Blick's term. Judge Blick officially retired on August 31.

Teague says, "It's a great honor. I pray that it will be as beneficial and as grateful as my career in the district attorney's office and in my private practice and I know that we will be able to continue to serve and help people."

Teague says he will run in the November 2014 general election to retain his seat.
