New Bern Tobacco Store Clerk Pleads Guilty To Trafficking Bath Salts

A New Bern store clerk pleaded guilty to two felonies after police seized almost 250 grams of bath salts and more than $13,000 in cash from his shop.

Salim Ali Saif Salim was convicted of attempting to traffic bath salts and possession with intent to sell or deliver. New Bern police got information that the tobacco shop on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard was selling bath salts. The 25 year old was given a suspended sentence and was placed on probation and will serve 90 days of electronic house arrest.

Officers got a search warrant and found 242 grams of bath salts and $13, 500 dollars in cash in the back room of the shop.
